About the Organization:
Easter Seals Ontario is dedicated to helping children and youth with physical disabilities. Easter Seals Ontario offers a variety of services and programs to give physically disabled students the same opportunities as their able-bodied peers. Their goal is to increase accessibility and integration for all physically disabled students so that they may achieve independence and acceptance within society. Easter Seals provides financial assistance for mobility equipment and communication devices, summer camp excursions, information and resources, and awareness programs for public education.

About the Organization:
The Roberts/Smart Centre is a facility dedicated to the safety and well-being of youth with mental health concerns. This is achieved by the different services offered at the facility which all aim to reduce incidents of behaviour through their prevention programming and public education. The Roberts/Smart Centre provides a place for exceptional students to learn, live, and get the counseling and support they require. The overall intention is to reintegrate the exceptional student into society through developing social competencies and reducing the incidence of the mental health challenges each youth lives with.
Ø Residential treatment – treatment provided on a 24-hour basis at the facility
Ø Secure treatment – with on-site classroom for continuing secondary education
Ø Day treatment – structured, therapeutic learning session for the day

The Ottawa-Carleton Association for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (OCAPDD) was established in the mid-1950s by parents who wanted their children to have access to education despite their disabilities. With a wide variety of programs and services available 365 days a year, the OCAPDD boasts a resourceful and dedicated place for developmentally disabled of the Ottawa region. Their goal is to ensure that anyone living with a developmental disability gets the health, security, and social supports that they need. The OCAPDD is committed to making this a reality for all those in their community.
